Rebuilding Together Peoria is an organized volunteer effort that rehabilitates the homes of eligible city of Peoria, East Peoria, Richwoods Township and Peoria County residents, particularly the elderly, who cannot maintain their homes. Since 1994, Rebuilding Together Peoria has rehabilitated over 350 area homes and non-profit facilities.

Our next Rebuilding Day is scheduled for April 26, 2025 is the fourth Saturday in April.

General Criteria for Assistance

  • Homeowner in the cities of Peoria, East Peoria, Richwoods Township, or unincorporated
    Peoria County
  • Total Household Annual Income meets Low Income Limits (will need to meet current
    year limits defined by HUD)
  • At least one elderly or disabled occupant
  • Veterans are encouraged to apply
  • Property taxes are current
  • Active property and casualty homeowners insurance

If your household’s annual gross income is within current Housing and Urban Development (HUD) limits, we encourage you to complete an application and submit it to us with the required documents as soon as possible. Eligible income level is adjusted for family size. The income of all occupants must be included. To view current limits click here, or call 309-674-2462 for details.

Our goal is to renovate 15 homes and/or non-profit facilities each year.
